Once upon a time, a naturalist came to stay at an old, renovated farmhouse in a small town in Pennsylvania.   This particular location, Hanna House Bed and Breakfast of Confluence, PA, was run by something of a naturalist, too!  Features of Hanna House include spring-fed plumbing and drinking water, composting, recycling, minimal paper usage, lots of natural day-lighting, home-made/eco-friendly cleaning supplies, a very local menu (including products from the owner’s 100-acre property), salvaged and/or local wood for renovations on the house and barn, and an avid interest in getting even greener.

We love when fairy tales are a reality!  What’s more, the guest originally heard of the B & B while searching on the Trail Town websites.  She had a fabulous time visiting Hanna House; the shoe fit perfectly, and the story ends happily ever after.

If that’s not proof of the effectiveness of online communication and publicity, we can’t think of what is.  To tie it all together, we continue to encourage feedback from businesses in the SBN to expand this virtual dialogue.
